Board Tabs
Open multiple boards side-by-side and switch between them without losing your place. Each tab keeps its own canvas, viewport, selection, and run history.
Opening tabs
- Click a board on the Dashboard — it opens in the current tab.
- Click the + in the tab strip (just above the canvas) to open another board in a new tab.
- Use the picker popover next to the + button to search across all your boards and open the one you want.
Switching tabs
Click any tab. Banana Flow remembers exactly where you left off — pan/zoom position, the node you had selected, and any unsaved cursor state.
Closing tabs
Click the × on a tab. Closing a tab does not delete the board — it just removes it from your open set. The board is still on your Dashboard, ready to reopen any time.
If you close the active tab, Banana Flow switches you to the neighboring tab. If you close the last tab you’ll land on the Dashboard.
Tab limits per plan
| Plan | Max open tabs |
|---|---|
| FREE | 2 |
| BEGINNER | 20 |
| PRO | 20 |
| TEAM | 20 |
If you hit the limit on the FREE plan, the picker shows an in-place upgrade prompt — close an existing tab or upgrade to keep more boards open at once.
Tips
- The order of tabs is preserved across page reloads — they’re persisted to your account, not your browser.
- Tabs are independent: a generation running in one tab keeps going if you switch to another, and finishes whether the originating tab is visible or not.
- Auto-save runs per tab, so switching mid-edit never loses unsaved changes.
