You asked for it. We built it. Seedance 2.0 is now fully supported on Banana Flow.

If you’ve been anywhere near X, TikTok, or YouTube in the past few weeks, you’ve seen the clips. Talking heads that look uncomfortably real. Narrative montages where the main character actually keeps the same face across cuts. Action sequences where physics just… work.

ByteDance’s Seedance 2.0 didn’t just iterate on AI video. It redefined what “prompting” means for video generation. And now you can use it directly in your Banana Flow boards.

Why Seedance 2.0 Broke the Internet

Most AI video models work the same way: you type a prompt, cross your fingers, and hope the output matches what was in your head. Seedance 2.0 flips that. Instead of guessing from text alone, it lets you direct with references.

Upload an image for character identity. Feed in a video clip for motion style. Add an audio track for rhythm. Then describe the scene with text. The model pulls motion, composition, camera language, and style from your references and replicates those traits in the output.

This is the shift from “prompt engineer” to “AI director.”

What Makes It Different

Multi-shot character consistency. The number one pain point in AI video has been character drift — your subject changes face, clothing, or body type between shots. Seedance 2.0 holds identity together across cuts, wide shots, close-ups, and action sequences. This is the real unlock for storytelling.

Native audio generation. No more generating silent footage and patching sound in post. Seedance 2.0 generates synchronized audio and video in a single pass — dialogue, sound effects, and ambient audio. Lip-sync timing feels tight enough to ship.

Cinematic camera control. The model understands camera language. Tracking shots, orbit movements, whip pans, match cuts — it extracts these from your reference material and reproduces them. Your AI-generated footage can actually feel like it was shot, not rendered.

Physics that hold up. Complex action sequences maintain realistic weight, momentum, and timing. Characters interact with environments in ways that don’t break immersion.

From “Coming Soon” to “Go Create”

Back in February, we wrote about Seedance 2.0 vs. Veo 3 and said we were “actively working on support.” Today, that work is done.

The AI Director era isn’t coming. It’s here. Open a board and start directing.
