About Banana Flow

What is Banana Flow?

Banana Flow is a browser-based visual workflow editor for AI image and video generation. You connect prompt, image, and output nodes on an infinite canvas to generate, edit, remix, and publish AI content — without installing Python, CUDA, or local model files. It is a hosted alternative to ComfyUI.

How it works

Each project in Banana Flow is a board — an infinite canvas where you place and connect nodes. A typical workflow wires a prompt node into an image generator node (with optional reference images attached), then into an output node that runs the generation. The output can then feed a video generator node to animate the still, an upscale or background removal node, or a seed frame node to extract a still from a generated video and use it as the start of the next clip.

Generations happen on cloud GPUs through our model provider integrations. Generated images and videos are stored under your account on Cloudflare R2.

What you can do with Banana Flow

  • Generate AI images from text prompts or reference images.
  • Generate AI videos, including text-to-video and image-to-video.
  • Chain workflows together — image → video → seeded next-video — to produce long-form content past any single model's clip length.
  • Edit generated images inline with a built-in editor.
  • Run advanced operations: upscaling, background removal, face consistency.
  • Bulk-generate with prompt wildcards.
  • Publish boards to a public Remix gallery, or keep them private.
  • Schedule generated content to Instagram.
  • Share team boards with credit pooling.

Who Banana Flow is for

Creators

Build reproducible AI workflows on a visual canvas. Iterate by tweaking individual nodes instead of rewriting prompts.

Marketing & social teams

Generate images and videos at scale and schedule them directly to Instagram from inside the same tool.

Designers

Combine multiple AI models in a single pipeline — e.g. generate stills with Nano Banana, animate them with Seedance.

How Banana Flow differs from ComfyUI

ComfyUI is open-source and runs on your own GPU after installing Python, CUDA, and the model files manually. Banana Flow is a hosted SaaS that runs entirely in your browser, includes proprietary closed-weight models that aren't available for local download (Nano Banana 2, Veo 3, Sora 2), and adds team features like shared credits, public workflows, and Instagram scheduling.

The visual node-based experience is similar — the deployment model is the opposite. Read the full comparison →

Frequently asked questions

Is Banana Flow free?

Yes. Every account gets 20 free credits per month on the Free plan, enough to generate around 5 images on the cheaper models. Paid plans start at S$19/month for Beginner (1,140 credits) and go up to S$129/month for Pro (7,740 credits).

Do I need a GPU to use Banana Flow?

No. Banana Flow runs in your browser and all model inference happens on cloud GPUs through our provider integrations. You don't install Python, CUDA, drivers, or model weights.

What AI models does Banana Flow support?

For images: Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro, Imagen 4 (Fast / Ultra), Flux 2, Ideogram v3, Seedream 4, GPT Image 2, Qwen, Z-Image, Grok Imagine, and more. For video: Veo 3, Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0/2.6/2.5, Wan 2.6, Runway, Hailuo 2.3, Sora 2 and Sora 2 Pro.

How is Banana Flow different from ComfyUI?

ComfyUI is open source and runs locally, requiring a CUDA-capable GPU, Python, and manually installed model files. Banana Flow is hosted, runs entirely in the browser, and includes proprietary closed-weight models (Nano Banana, Veo, Sora) that aren't downloadable. The visual node-based UX is similar; the deployment model is the opposite.

Can I host Banana Flow myself?

No. Banana Flow is a hosted SaaS — you don't run it locally. If you need fully local workflows, ComfyUI or similar open-source tools are a better fit.

Is my generated content private?

Yes by default. Boards are private until you explicitly publish them to the public Remix gallery. Generated assets are stored on Cloudflare R2 under your account.

Can I share my workflows with others?

Yes. Any board can be made public, after which anyone can clone it in one click via the Remix gallery and run it on their own account.

Does Banana Flow have an API?

Not yet. The roadmap includes a public API; for now Banana Flow is used through the visual canvas in the browser.
